I should tell you that this site does not cost me a lot of money to run. And I am not at this time in any sort of financial stress. I want to make sure I'm not conveying anything that would be dishonest.

But I suppose even with the relatively modest cost I've been able to line up for myself in these projects, having run gvid and goatmatrix for some time now, I guess if you were to add it all up, maybe it could say there is a substantial number attached to it. But I don't have some absurd monthly bill for doing this. Though I have put significant time into these projects. If anyone wants to show gratitude, they can.

As some of you may know, I recently quit my job and decided to take a month off to work on tech stuff and work on my training before looking for new work. I'm already about halfway through that, so I only have about two more weeks of that. I don't think finding a new job will be difficult. I may even turn down a few once I am looking for work because finding the right job is more important than finding a job. I spent 5 years at my last job, and it probably was not the right job to stay 5 years at. And I realize I'll probably stay 5 years at my next one, so it's worth spending 5 years at the right one.

But I've seen that the results of these sorts of donation calls can have mixed results. Sometimes they go absurdly well. If a whale does decide they want to give me an obscene amount of money, I will work on free speech tech and uncensored AI full-time. If that's what anyone wants me to do, I will do that. Or at least prolong my period of not working for the system.

What I am working on is an easy-to-use inference API that would include uncensored models that don't require you to manage serverless or image deployments or any of that BS. As well as uncensored RAG (AI that has access to documents for reference, but in this case has access to all the documents without regard for censorship). Once that's complete, the next goal would be a web interface for chat that the most common user is familiar with, which would be the next step, then custom RAGs. Like any project, from there there are directions to expand. Training, LoRAs, head additions, head expansions. All with commitment to not being censored, and or letting you choose the guardrails without assuming you want any, for the few who do want guardrails.

I'm not assuming anything with this donation post. I just want to let any whales know that if they do over-donate, that will be the result. I'll be working on that stuff in anycase. The only variable is how long I stay in a dedicated phase. But two more weeks is likely the default plan. Other than that, it is good to have these donation addresses around in the general case.
