And... Eventually...

A niche market will appear for gently used Ai robot dolls.

And vigorously used ones, as well.

It would be funny if they adopted the franchise model like they do with automobiles. A showroom for the new model year.

Used ones in the back room.

Somewhere, someone will eventually get a phone call from a displeased nursing home director. Their aged relative had an Ai robot delivered to the front office, and they need a family member to approve...

We're living in interesting times.

I laughed at this. Immediately started to think about my local mechanic I use and the large barrels of use "fluids" he has...

I wonder if the use sex doll salesman will be the new used car salesman... * Slaps the ass twice * "This babe has upgraded XXL tits, lumbar support and a two stage turbo on the cooch. Was gently used by a sweet old lady like twice a week."

Yeah and people on Welfare will try to pay for it on their EBT cards.

I'm not sure these robots are any better than fleshlights, and either one of them are for incredibly disturbed people (IMO). So I doubt women are upset about their missed opportunities with weirdos who like fleshlights and robot fleshlights.

I think the sexbots are for incels that women ignore or treat like dirt.

Sex bot manufacturers could partner with the flashlight executives...

And also something about swapping out sub assemblies which may experience excessive wear.

Design for manufacturability, and sustainability.

They are building Replicants, so we need a Blade Runner when they go rouge.

[-]Tom_Bombadil1(0|0)

That blade runner will be a modern Jack the ripper.

Do they include a self-cleaning feature?

Did the design for manufacturability review include practical cleaning procedures?

I can't imagine they forgot it, but I don't blame them for omitting it from mention in the advertisements.

Someone should go rally the troops at 4chan by encouraging them to demand that the time folks at Consumer Reports do a thorough review of the sex bot marketplace.

"This sex bot's power level is over 9000!"

There is going to be some weirdo willing to pay extra for that.

Also, the canned video clips of those robots folding laundry is ridiculous.

They make it look like it can differentiate between clothing items, etc. People have no idea how this crap actually works.

These clowns have a robot, but they have someone manually programming it to do basic towel folds. The vision systems don't easily differentiate between physical features, and periodically changing light conditions.

That open set-up in the ambient light, is destined for failure. But it's a decent marketing hook.

I have roomba robots, vacuuming for me, reduces drudgery and boring work. They're not perfect, they get stuck, clogged, the technology will get better tho.

[-]Tom_Bombadil1(0|0)

It's it an Ai Roomba?

[-]newJiminy2(+1|0)

Ya

LLM, or Large Livingroom Model.

The US government says that these are ranked more dangerous than Ferbies.

The US government says that these are ranked more dangerous than Ferbies.

They improved upon safety hazards with the refurb-ies.
