He should have offshored it to the Japanese, they make High-Speed Rail cost less and get built quicker.

It literally can't be done due to regulations. It's a joke. Only hope is Californians finally elect some non-criminal politicians that will get rid of some of the regulations preventing it, but I doubt it will ever happen.

As long as Californians keep voting Democrat, it isn't going to happen.

33 is symbolism. Should be a tip-off.

Just can it.

With everyone working via internet anyway, at least a lot of the office worker commuting, why do you need high speed? Why not slow speed? It's hands free transport unlike driving. If you have your laptop you are saving all of your drive time either way. It's better to push the cost of travel down and the comfort of travel up.

How much value is there in going from one city to another when you can just do it over the internet? Why does the public need to subsidize something for which there is a cheaper and greener alternative?

"The public" needs to subsidize those projects because that is the purpose of their existence in this iteration of our species.

Work from home will end, not as efficient . Plus if you can work from home a guy from india can do it. Or an AI.
