We would never get nuked by Iran if we had nothing to do with them. Switzerland has fewer security threats than the US. So the idea that these military actions are keeping us safe is kind of ironic.
Iran took US hostages in 1979, Carter tried to rescue them with Helecopters but failed. Reagan did the Iran Contra thing and got them free.
