Good article but too few care nowadays. I believe we are truly past the point of saving what we had back in the 70s- 2010.
I also think the decline will happen a lot faster then the common person realizes.
For context, Spotify has an in-depth podcast called The history of Rome. It's long at nearly 200 episodes at 20 minutes each. It's very detailed on the birth, rise and fall of the empire.
During the decline it's uncanny the similarities to what's going on today. It's the cliche of time repeating itself only we seem to be going at 10x the rate.
