What has caused autism to increase and what causes autism generally? To what degree to you think autism varies from country to country and is that caused by differences in diagnosis in these countries or caused by environmental factors?

I am not sure, but I think it has to do with endocrine disruption, specifically regarding perinatal androgens.
Something about extreme autism makes people more 'male', at least in terms of emotion.
I used to have a roommate that worked with people with extreme autism, to the point that they had to be institutionalized, she had to wipe their bottoms and such.
She told me it was almost a rule, that most of the males she worked with had strange genitals.
I don't think anyone knows what causes it, but I would suspect it has something to do with hormonal disruption.
