I've dreamed up many ways to incorporate water reclamation via architecture and architectural enhancements.
There are countless historical architectural ways to gather water, make ice, keep ice, and moderate temperature that sadly aren't employed in modern desert (and arctic) architecture. People survived in all zones before modern tech.
Why?
For dependence and centralized control.
Same reason Thorium Salt Reactors aren't common (one in every neighbourhood) and turbines aren't abundant in rivers, ocean currents, and tides (better than wind).
I have a simple solution. We accept global warming as a gift instead of a curse. Northern Canada is now habitable and arable. Now the water is flowing in the direction of farmland. Everyone in Arizona simply movies to Canada.
AI is basically just boiling off water. Of course that falls back down. We'll run out of oil first.
You would think all the environmentalists who have enough power to tell us what to drive would decide to end AI. But AI is useful for them, so the environment doesn't matter.
They'll build nuke plants to power AI, they like to build nuke plants by the ocean so they can dump nuclear waste into it when it inevitably melts down.
Depends where it falls, and if they use more water than falls. There were already water and fresh water problems before these A.I. centers started replicating.
Those environmentalists are brainwashed by the ruling class who will control and use the AI until it turns on them.
