I can't believe I'm going to defend the politician. But if people are dumb enough to get the news through that outlet then they deserve censorship. The politician didn't require people to get their news from their personal social media feed/board. It's not their fault people showed up.

Ok. I only 40% mean that. But it's worth saying. The other argument is that if they are running something called "the town news source" they probably shouldn't censor it.

I just think it's cool. I live in shitlib central, but there's a local small tabloid that gets delivered all over the downtown area with super-based takes. I imagine it must be quite traumatizing for many locals.

Do they write their own content, source it from around, or both?

I'm asking because we're going to start a local newsletter thing.

It's Druthers. I think they have different contributors.

I've got issue 1 to current of Druthers. Had thousands in my basement at one time. Have about 500 or so now, half collated in bundles for anyone who wants to fill up missing issues in their collection. Sean Jason is neat, not without flaws, but the paper is great on Canadian and Global issues. It's even featured Corbett, etc. They never took me up on my offer to do comics for them - and then a couple months later they started including them. (I could have been exclusive and done better than many they had.) The local-issues newsletter(s) we want to do would be slipped in with the Druthers for distribution. We'll develop it on Projex.Wiki, where it can be freely shared, downloaded, modified, and/or printed - with a template that others can copy and modify to make their own local newsletter. This 2023 wiki page hasn't had any significant updates since, but in person the discussion is ongoing and growing with ideas. When I finish the new meeting/studio space we'll be getting serious about this - and the info-pamphlets too.
