He lost me when he claimed Marx's discussion of a dialectical method is supposed to be dialectical-materialism. It's not. He also lost me when comparing a Hegalian dialectic to the two previous dialectics. This is college freshmen Max and Hegel hermeneutic confusion.

The answer to him is that dialectical materialism is indeed the philosophical foundation of Marxism, combining materialism (the belief that the material world creates ideas) with dialectics (the concept of change through conflict and contradiction) to explain history, society, and nature as a process of continuous development driven by material conditions and internal struggles, like the conflict between labor and capital, leading to revolutionary transformation.

We don't require Hegal's idealism, or structure, or a new interpretation of the general idea of Marx's dialectical method[s] to appreciate the role of dialectical materialism in Marx's Das Kapital. Perhaps I'm not appropriately appreciating the speaker's points, as he's not the best at organizing his arguments into a convincing, coherent analysis. I've upvoted this post for visibility, though not in agreement with the speaker.

Dia just means two people arguing

[-]JasonCarswell1(+1|0)

As dry as James Lindsay, but with music.

[-]xoenix2(+2|0)

I do think Lindsay has had some interesting insights, from the classical liberal perspective.

[-]JasonCarswell3(+3|0)

Me too.

It's a bloody shame he sold out to Zionism.

Ironic that (((they))) are behind Bolshevism, Communism, and Zionism. Among others.

[-]xoenix1(+1|0)

The video's a bit lo-fi, but give it a chance.

Have you ever even been to a communist country? Ever lived in one? Are you able to answer the question: Oh where are you from? And the answer is: Oh, the country doesn't exist?

Decent human beings don't care about communism. They want it to disappear forever.

[-]xoenix1(+1|0)

I'm not selling you communism, it's about what kind of leftists are out there today. The right isn't good at explaining this.

Again, you don't give spotlight to things you want to disappear.

[-]xoenix1(+1|0)

You can't erase Marx. If the CIA could have erased Marx they would have. Instead they cooked up mutated, neo-liberal imperialist versions of it in a lab and installed it in western universities.

It's all the same. Which of these two governmnet styles are you allowed to endorse today? National socialism, or communism. Both socialist policies and similar in nature on the surface. One is evil, one is ideologically good. The people who won that war are still in charge.

[-]xoenix1(+1|0)

Most people who think they're advocating communism are probably advocating neo-liberal imperialism. Like spreading the queer agenda to every country.

It doesn't matter. You already said that. It's the same thing. Communism is EVERYTHING you wish it was, until it is implemented. They lie and hide things until it is installed.

[-]xoenix1(+1|0)

Nobody knows any realistic path to communism from industrialized liberal society.

And even Stalin/Mao apologists have no solutions for how those projects seem to become corrupted after a couple of generations, whether due to external capitalist forces or from within.

A few (fringe) communists view present day Russia and China as not entirely failed, but as some new post-communist state. Most others see them as falling back into capitalist imperialism.

[-]dog3(+3|0)

Communist ideology has never worked in practice, which is why it's not part of any practical group's way of thinking. It cannot be said to exist on the 'left' of US politics, as there is no support for actual communism among so much of the 'left'. Almost all Americans want to accumulate additional private wealth, which is the opposite of communist practice, where everyone would share that wealth almost equally.

[-]xoenix2(+2|0)

Academia and public education is full of lowbrow neo-Marxist ideology.

[-]dog3(+3|0)

No, US academia and public education are capitalist, expensive, teach capitalism, etc, etc. It's impossible to locate anything neo-Marxist in any of that. I'm sorry, there is no comparison.

[-]xoenix2(+2|0)

idpol trash is everywhere in institutions.

[-]dog2(+2|0)

Identity politics? Why would that be limited to higher education? It's literally the reason the MAGA cult elected a child rapist, and anonymously-owned voting machines converted that 35% of the US into the leading vote counts in swing states by supressing and converting 100s of Democrat votes in the appropriate counties.

[-]xoenix1(+1|0)

You just agreed with my point then malfunctioned and melted down, just like the old socks on Saidit.

[-]JasonCarswell2(+2|0)

Every now and then dog rhymes with socks a lot.
I've been waiting to see.

[-]dog1(+2|-1)

Yeah - I know socks. Don't worry, I don't think he's here. There are several Saiditors who aren't brainwashed idiots, or at least there used to be. Anyways, if you think you have a point to make, make it. And stop insulting users like you would at Saidit.

[-]JasonCarswell1(+1|0)

A fence wasn't given. A fence was taken. Are you the fence thief?

CrispyCritter admitted/claimed/joked they were socks.

If they are correct then there are undoubtedly other socks-alts here too.

The modus operandi doesn't lie the way that socks does.

[-]dog0(0|0)

So you have seen this thread, but you still asked - in a different thread - if I'm the other user.

WTF you talking about regarding a fence? What is that?

Crispy obvs ain't socks. He and we discussed him earlier and we confirmed we didn't want socks to migrate.

Why bother with an alt at goatmatrix? How does that help?

Which modus operandi? The MO belonging to whom? Were you sober when you wrote this?

[-]xoenix1(+1|0)

Socks-like typing and meltdown detected. Not only that, but you don't understand any of the discussion in this thread.

[-]Wiglaf2(+2|0)

hmm… who’s really having the meltdown?

[-]dog0(0|0)

Exactly. How dare I disagree with the pseudo-intellectual dumbass in that video. Some aspects of Saidit should die with it.

[-]dog0(+1|-1)

LOL - nice try gaslighting me, or rather not so nice. Explaining stuff to you as if you were 5 is actually very kind of me. I should get a blowjob for that, well 2 blowjobs now, if not 3.

[-]xoenix1(+1|0)

You have the exact same confused writing style and hair-trigger meltdown behaviour.

[-]JasonCarswell2(+2|0)

In the feral forum we see the true colours of the hitherto camouflaged socks when cornered by hostile creatures of the world wild web.

[-]dog0(+1|-1)

You really got to lay on the gaslighting, big time. WTF. You really should try not to suck so much.

[-]JasonCarswell2(+2|0)

If communism is compulsory extremist-socialism, then the US is the most extreme-socialist nation in the world with their socialist military industrial complex.

Free markets have never been a thing either.

What's required is balance. And no killing.

[-]dog1(+1|0)

Yep

[-]JasonCarswell3(+3|0)

What's the difference between communism and fascism?

The spelling.

Same difference to us, whether the corporations or government is in charge - it's all the same shitty ruling class.
