I should be able to use a hotspot on my phone to do everything, including torrenting on my desktop, running it to the server.
But the downside is I couldn’t watch anything if I stayed out the whole time. Hmmm. I think it’s a no. I can go out all day tomorrow.
cool idea though, still. Grab a portable projector, inverter, deep marine bat, put it on a bike cart. Roll to a dark alleyway and put on a public show for the muggers, get beat up, lose your portable projector, inverter, deep marine bat, bike, bike cart - win! If we were in a high trust society, this minus the mugging would be the norm!
I do have the deep marine battery so I'd never run out of power. Just data. The river I would target has some apartments that are somewhere between being close and being distant depending on how you classify it. I could roll around them looking for open wifi or find some still using WEP and hack them. And then put up a string of relays through the woods to where my boat is. No time this week. Maybe next week.
Very need idea.
I was just thinking of setting up a lemonade stand but for free grilled sandwiches over a camping stove and call it Guerrilla'd Cheese.
I like your idea better - and project it on City Hall.
That sounds very fun, i am jelly. Wifite + PixieDust.
I've taken to replacing my internet at home with a phone data plan. I tether my 4g connection to my desktop. It's very reliable, slightly cheaper, and saves battery life on my phone because now I don't need wifi. And I'm no longer exposed to wifi radiation. Can recommend.
You are still exposed to 4g radiation though. The further the communication the stronger the signal has to be.
GSM radiation is higher in intensity but only when held close against the body. When I use it for internet I put it on my desk. A distance of 30cm is enough.
