I have literally zero actual users right now. There is some AI-generated placeholder content there. Right now it's invite only, I'm hesitant to flip that switch, but you can PM me for a code.
It's pretty privacy and free speech focused. It's built from the ground up in django. The forums are hierarchical so posts will appear in any parent/ancestor forums. There's crossposting so the same post can be in multiple forums and it's not a merely a copy. Same comment thread in all paths. Direct messages are encrypted end to end.
Anything you save, or anyone you follow, it's all encrypted. I can't see it and I don't want to know.
Been a lurker here for a while. I hope it's not too rude to plug my project right off the bat here.
Wow!
Very promising!
Looks awesome.
Ever find out if HKP made the forum he disappeared to make a few years ago?

I'm glad I inspired you! Nice work I like the e2ee and how there is a hierarchy in forums. I'm interested in an invite. Do you have a plan for promoting it? This site is a bit too small so if people need to ask for an invite on top of that, you're won't have enough users. Tildes.net is a recent example of an invite-only forum that managed to gain traction. That's a case study to learn from.
And yes, this is very welcome. As you can see in the sidebar, projects are literally at the top of the pyramid of content. This is what we like hearing about.
You're an actual coder, I just vibecode. I think I've reached the limits of Proton's Lumo's capabilities. I'd love to continue developing it but I don't have access to a better AI currently so there's a slight hiccup. I have lots of ideas.
Nope, I really have no good promotion plans and I'm beginning to see that it's going to be a problem. I'm pretty paranoid about bots and spam and that sort of thing but I guess in reality, my site is not remotely on their radar at this point. I did have in mind that if I could get a few invited people trying it out for a week or two, I'd probably turn off invite only after that and see how it goes.
I've been working on this for a while and it lived on a little ARM box (some Raspberry Pi alternative) only accessible to me for the longest time and it's only recently that I got a provider and a domain.
I suspect I'm like you in that there weren't really any forums or messageboards that worked exactly the way I wanted, so I figured I'd have to take a shot at it myself.
