Tribalist votes don't matter on policies that happen regardless who wins.
The MAIN reason immigrants are a problem is to create cultural chaos and instability.
Who you gonna call when you want stability?
More authoritay.
But they need more power and most folks happily give it.
That's part of it tho votes are actually usually rigged. They want the illegals here so they compete for jobs and bring wages down. Aka democrats are actually far right, and only support the rich.
Americans should probably be banned from using the word socialism, since they don't know what it means.
Conservatives are trying to "conserve" traditions. 200 years ago it was to preserve the traditions of the monarchy. Now it's to preserve whatever leftover traditions still stand from the ravages of the bare market.
So maybe Newsom is kind of right, in the sense that shitlibs like him are the final form of capitalists.
All taxes go in the pot and you get no say in where it's distributed = Socialism.
Also = socialist capitalism (ie. too big to fail).
Also = all governments.
Also = all governments are evil.
Also, a principled socialist is a voluntaryist and cooperativist (not Cooperativist).
Thinking that you know better than regular folks, so you can coerce the theft of hard-earned wages to pay for your schemes that only an elite minority want, in the name of improving the lives and communities of regular folks, while enriching your self - that is socialism. And the Right does it as much as the Left.
When did you ever get to democratically (direct or representative) vote for Agenda 2030, bailouts, corruption, deep state ops, economic collapse, Federal Reserve policies, geoengineering, harm care, injustice, Jewish supremacy, kid trafficker lenience, lawfare, migrants, New World Order, orchestrated chaos, propaganda, queering schools, radiation, surveillance, trans-agenda, unaccountable tyranny, violent police, war, YouTube and Google DARPA funded monopoly, Zionist support?
ALL governments are a corrupt balance of socialist and capitalist systems rigged to exploit and enrich the ruling class.

By the way, I want to keep this a good faith discussion. I would not have thought so differently from you a while ago, but I've had some epiphanies recently that changed some of my thinking.
A lot of the problem comes down to the difference between what actual scientific socialism is as opposed to the lazy bourgeoisie utopianism that we are fed. The latter represents about 99% of what we see plaguing our society.
If you really want to understand the thing that you're critiquing a bit better, I highly recommend this book. It's only about 70 pages, and you could even get AI to summarize and walk you through it.
Additionally, Marx's The German Ideology is one big critique of loopy, idealistic, liberal thinking. Putting the kibosh on the sort of thinking that changing word definitions (like the words man and woman), instead of material actions, can transform society.
All that said, I still have major, major criticisms of socialism, and attempts to make it real, particularly in western nations in the modern world. But I try to avoid burning western strawman depictions of socialism.
Also, very important: Nothing demoralizes a western shitlib "socialist" more than exposing their unprincipled causes.
I like the idea of science.
I like the idea of socialism.
I like the idea of capitalism. And more.
None of these are perfect.
None of these are free from manipulation, corruption, exploitation, extermination, etc.
Solve those and a bunch of other hypocrisies and paradoxes and I may buy in.
I like the idea of freedom.
Not everyone should be free to do what they like because they'll overstep without responsibility.

I like Sleep Nomad's stuff. He dissects a lot of socialists, philosophers, and personalities. Though I want to hear them all, they're long so I've only heard about a dozen.
Agreed. Ideas are nice. Even voluntaryism, the best idea. But to get to voluntaryism, or even in the direction of it, you first need minarchism. But government doesn't shrink itself.

These are all shitlib, capitalist imperialist things.
This is all why socialists call the capitalist state the "welfare state." All of these expensive copes are just an attempt to stabilize the chaos of rule by oligarchs. Their secret plots and grifts, their infighting, and collaborating against the rest of us - as the Epstein files show more clearly than ever.
Socialism is about transferring power to the workers; burning shitlibs out of the institutions and replacing them with actual workers who understand their trade to speak on behalf of their peers in democratic centrism.
We live in a bourgeois dictatorship and just accept the chaos and resulting taxes they impose on us as normal.
How can the west combat its own deranged products, like multiculturalism and transgenderism without a foundation of principled materialism? When capitalists become as superstitious as pre-enlightenment cultures, then material, scientific, based socialism begins to make more and more sense.
Socialism is about transferring power to the workers
Hasn't been that way for a looooooong time, coincidentally correlated to television programming.
Next you could tell me that unions are still a good thing, if they ever were.
We live in a bourgeois dictatorship
Fact. Always was. And soon it will be under A.I.
Only at these times of revolution do we ever have a substantial chance at changing things - but all that revolve end up in the same place. (((They))) and we both have the most technology and power than at any other time. If we can't radically depart from their corrupt Epstein matrix of rigged systems now, then we won't likely ever. But we don't have to make it easy for them.
foundation of principled materialism?
Yes! Rational ethics and morality that most of us can agree on with clarity and consistency.
then material, scientific, based socialism begins to make more and more sense.
You lost me. Science has been corrupted, obfuscated, and bows to the hierarchy. Without transparency and trust we can't even agree on what definitions or sources we base our facts, much less methods.
Socialism is a corrupt term that means different things to different people. It's a garbage useless word, once based on a nice idea, now weaponized and perverted.
We need a new vocabulary to build new foundations.

There is a reason people say that there is only Marxist-Leninism. :)

Well, exactly. The initial gains for the workers during the 30s up til the 50s were generally guided by principled socialists. Then there was a McCarthyist purge, Stalin was demonized by Khrushchev's speech.
After McCarthy flamed out, there was an "amnesty" period; the government said it felt "guilty" and as penance, the establishment allowed leftists back into academia and the media. But they let in a new breed, the New Left. Some of these key figures like Foucault and Marcuse were funded by the CIA and even worked with them. This created a synthetic, western left that to western eyes just looks like "socialism", but actually serves liberal capitalism.

"Scientific socialism" means rationally-based, and importantly, historically-aware. As in, being aware of how many mistakes science has made in the past. It is specifically not scientism. (It's in the book I linked!)
I recently saw a similar breakdown by Candace Owens in a section of one of her episodes, but it may be an older episode. A.I. was fucking useless to help find it.
It's true that halting illegal immigration is a left wing policy that helps the working class. National socialism I guess.
The left wants illegal immigrants so they can vote for them. The citizens mostly reject Democrats, so they are being replaced with illegal immigrants.
That is simplistic.

The US military is the largest socialism project in the world.
Imperialism is not socialism. A principled socialist is anti-imperialist and opposes all imperialist wars.
LOL.
As if you can separate any of that.

Government "spending money" isn't socialism.

I think I am just blackpilled on small, efficient or principled classical liberal government. I don't see how it would be possible.
