I just use nano, always found it simpler and more intuitive

I know how to use vim and emacs but lately I am inclined toward using nano for its elegance. I like how I can just do M-L to toggle line wrapping and how it displays the shortcuts at the bottom.
I hate terminal based editors.
Use a journaling file system. Rip the cord off the wall.
:wq is how you exit vim
:wq
There is also ZZ. It does the same thing.
Notepad++ for me.
