The problem with mathematics, is that it's really all in the heads of mathematicians. And, what's in the heads of the mathematicians, changes all the time. Sure, some stuff has lasted for thousands of years. But, take a look at mathematics journals from half a century ago. A lot of that stuff really isn't mathematics anymore, you know?

Math from the 70s isn't math anymore? I recall hearing that teaching techniques changed, but AFAIK it would still be math.

It's not extremely unusual for mathematical "proofs" to be subsequently disproven. Google it. Many others stand because they simply weren't important enough, or well known enough, for anyone to even bother trying to disprove them. The "reality" and absoluteness of mathematics is much overrated. You're confusing the few aspects of mathematics that have survived for centuries, or millennia, with the vast majority of pure mathematical speculation that is really, just speculation.

They don't really teach high math in colleges unless you major in math.

You can still read it, if you really want to.

Reading is not math!

You can read the equations, Jason. You can visualize the corresponding imagery.
