There are a few different ways I can improve it but that will be scrummed against all other tasks. That should be taking care of 80% of the need. Of course there is also themes in /s/themes and there is a wide one that should make it permanently wide for people with browsers with persistent localStorage. For the others having a tab open with the chat resized should give them what they need fairly easily. Making it adjustable should help meet the needs between people who are mainly here for links vs people who are more focused on chat without compromising either.
