I'm excited for this one. We are getting into some proper cyberpunk movies. Anything will be better than our mistake last time. Liquid Sky. It was... It's worse than The Room. By a lot.
But with that behind us we have:
We will be meeting here, https://cytu.be/r/matrixhub, unless I get the cytube/goatmatrix integration done. I'll update the links if anything changes. This is Saturday 13th
COME EARLY!! It will be more fun if we get a crowd going before the film starts. Even just coming by to get your name in the chat helps establish the party.

Wow. I guess I'm glad I missed Liquid Sky - a very old movie. There was a great D&B/jungle record label in NYC named Liquid Sky. I still have a hoodie and cap and stickers from them somewhere.
Gonna do two Santa charity gigs tomorrow, so I'm gonna miss most if not all of it.
Bonus:
The 3-part Cyberpunk Documentaries.
It made me wish I could OD on quelewds.
I'd kinda like to know who upvoted Liquid Sky
I've never before thought about nominating a movie for Worst Soundtrack
Yeah - the music does suck, but it was all the rage in 1982, when pioneering experimental electronic music had been in development and increasingly popular for only a decade before, if that. That particular soundtrack was considered iconic, ahead-of-its-time, because it blended synth-pop, coldwave, early electro, and avant-garde sounds with digitally manipulated classical pieces, creating a unique, hallucinatory texture influential in genres like electroclash.
This is the best the music got: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhJz01BwanU
This is the second best song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSRa8zDimtQ
It's so much better with the video.
