Movie night is this Saturday. The poll ready for the new series. But since I'm just getting this out today (Wednesday), we don't know what the movies will be till the day of. Just show up. It will be good. But I'll probably have them picked in the morning that day.
Details:
Player: https://player.submatrix.net/r/MatrixHub
Time: on Saturday June 13th. Approximately
Poll time. Something that helps is to intentionally break up ties.

Also, I've been thinking about how I switched to doing every other Saturday. Slightly more complicated but I could switch to skipping every third (unless someone wants to fill in). We could vote on it.

When we do the movies I'm going to pick something from the top cohort and the second cohort at random, giving us a primary and secondary feature.
I like the idea of recruiting other people, but let's be honest, we're not currently recruiting people to goatmatrix. When we've done a better job at that, we'll have more options.
The two can kind of be aligned. The entire point of movie nights is to have an excuse to recruit to matrix. It's not too hard to mention that I'm looking for a second in command for movie nights in those posts. There's some trade offs to it, but it's possible.
It's a funny thing though. I post these movie nights to other sites. The posts get good upvotes. Pretty popular concept if we went by the upvotes alone. No one from those sites shows up to the actual movie night, almost ever. Most are from here. And if they do they don't register a name. But it does give the site some exposure.
Also fun:
Busy day but I finally got a Saturday evening off.
New idea: Matching movies for better double/triple features based on the theme. A theme within a theme.
