Conversation/Interview. It's all the same thing. You don't need to be a journalist to interview someone. Remember that journalists aren't actually special.
But I agree with you about the bullshittedness of attacking the stream and then using that as a basis for petty attacks that don't discuss any of the actual content of the interview.

Claims event was “billed as an interview.” No it wasn’t. It was billed as a conversation. Musk is not a journalist.
