Maybe some anti-trust investigations since out SEC required way to handle controlling interest in publicly traded companies encourages collusion. So that has to be counteracted.
Libraries are kind of ironic things. The government says you can't duplicate other people's registered work and make it accessible to more people. But in an effort to make copyrighted work accessible to more people it puts money into a loophole to its own laws.
Like which one of these is a public good:

It's also a problem to claim the US is capitalist while forcing socialism to bail out the banks and corporations that are "too big to fail" - as well as forcing taxpayers to socialistically pay for a military they didn't vote for.
How would you propose tax dollars do that (within the limits of the Constitution)?

That worked until the New Deal shared some of that prosperity with the 99%, creating the middle class and the greatest country and economy of the past 70+ years. But in the past 45 years, every portion of the New Deal has been eroded by corporate greed and pay-to-play politics.
Why would a moderate, considerate, understanding, progressive American enjoy a caliphate? A caliphate is a form of Islamic government or state led by a caliph (khalifah, meaning "successor"), who is considered the political and sometimes spiritual leader and successor to the Prophet Muhammad, governing the Muslim community (Ummah). Historically, it was a vast empire spanning centuries and continents (from Spain to India), evolving with diverse practices, but the concept remains significant, with modern extremist groups attempting to re-establish one based on their fucked up interpretations of Islamic law. None of that relates in any way to a moderate, considerate, understanding, progressive American. Indeed, a moderate, considerate, understanding, progressive American would be the enemy of an authoritarian caliphate.
