Thanks for this. Great to know what's up with The Man.

David: Who doesn’t work for you?

The Man: Well, independent small business owners mainly, and also a lot of artists and creative types. There are people who are unusually concerned with what they produce for a living, which means I can’t easily fit them into the positions I need filled.

Bingo. Invest in politicians who deregulate The Man to the pre-1930s mega-corruption level, and millions of those small businesses cannot compete in a capitalist system (which requires regulation). Fun fact: the phrase, 'working for the man' dates back to post-WWI and was popularized in the 1960s, in referecne to major corporations. Since the early 1980s, a tiny group of incredibly wealthy corporations and individuals have owned 90% of all US production. As of this year,

The top 10% of the global population’s income-earners earn more than the remaining 90%, while the poorest half of the global population captures less than 10% of the total global income. Wealth is even more concentrated: the top 10% own
three-quarters of global wealth, while the bottom half holds only 2%. https://wir2026.wid.world/

Now consider who has global data and AI infrastucture at a time when there is that much wealth concentrated at the top 98%. We will be assimilated.

(Unless we do something about it.)
