We have a new month, at least for nerds who take an interest in natural time. While not everyone is into that, I figure it's a good excuse to reflect on the past month, and what kinds of cool things we accomplished. What was the top highlight?
I can't list everything for myself but I can mention a few things as examples.
But what's more important is what you guys did. What are your highlights for the past month or so?
Perhaps I accomplished retail therapy. I've wanted a better camera than the Sony RX100 VII I normally use when on trips. So I found on sale a Canon EOS R5 Mark II, and a decent lens, and will take that with me instead.
Nice indeed.
My focus is video - so I'll be getting a Canon EOS R50V next month, and a second, maybe a third as soon as I can after that to cover all my podcasting studio needs. In the meantime I have an old Canon Rebel, my phone, and two Akaso 4K action cameras - Brave 7 LE (new this week) and a V50 Elite that can also do 8x slow motion.
I'd agree the R50V is a really affordable (though not inexpensive) high quality camera for vlog videos, with superior image depth and subject separation, by contrast with the Sony RX100 VII. There is also a tendancy for the RX100 to overheat when taking videos for longer than a couple minutes, though I've not tested that feature.
Nice!
I suppose the traditional funeral for a camera is to take a photo of your new camera with it.
LOL - I should reserve a space in the house for an old camera grave yard.
I have some antiques to display on set in the background.
Old radios, typewriter, cameras, etc.
