Elon wanted a rail canon and hyperloop. I looked into these over a dozen years ago. Both are impractical and impossible. I've got a better idea for my Bittersweet Seeds story - a space bridge called The Twisted Swan. One day you'll see. It's ambitious, but practical - and necessary to industrialize space.
