I guess I don't quite get how it's like CNN? I guess maybe if you had one of your filters as 1,0,0,0 and then did it with a stride of 2? I guess I need to properly learn CNNs. I get the concept of CNNs (I think) but I've never actually used them outside of models someone else made.
