If his chainsaw economics were legit, he wouldn't have needed the B-B-B-BILLION$ that Trump gave him - and he wouldn't have destroyed the poor and middle class of his nation - and America's. It's all political theater.
To be fair poverty is down in Argentina since he took office. Right before taking office 44% to 36%. So I guess that's destroying the poor. And I wonder with so many former government worker joining that 36% how many non-government workers had to leave poverty for the total number to shrink.
But who knows. With Argentina basically joining our economy with their monetary change but being at a permanent disadvantage because they won't (assumption) have banks with the same relationship with the Fed they will forever be further from the constant wealth transfer. They will always be at the terminal end of that flow of stolen wealth re-gifted to the economy from the banks.
I guess we have different sources with different biases on poverty. I'm skeptical that there's honest reporting, especially on the poor. I don't fully trust any of them - but I will watch both Left and Right coverage to hear what rings more true.
Government is a ginormous slow-moving beast and fast movements will cause collateral damage without substantial lasting effects. What's required is a reduction in size, a fundamental clear rethinking, and the (slow) incremental change in course to bring about a new paradigm that could actually help people. But ZZZtheyZZZ would never allow that.
IMO, Milei is just another puppet for the Cult Of Personality to fawn over and distract with.
I had an idea a second ago and re-found this thread to bring it up. I'm wanting to get more ancaps/voluntaryists here. The site is probably in a better position to do it than before. Essays are some of the most shareable content. The key is remembering that opportunity when it happens. If you were to write up an essay on the differences between between Anarcho-Capitalism vs Voluntaryism, or even copy-pasta something you already have I can share it around.
Less important: On the poverty thing there are basically two different usually sited figures. INDEC and UCA. I cited the UCA figure but both are down. INDEC is 41.7% -> 31.6%.

Some articles I read were criticizing them for unemployment, but at the same time they did fire tons of government employees.
