First off I want to point out new Questions and Help topics in the top bar.
The main intention of the help section is to for me or others to point out tips about features on the site. The other topic Questions is mainly intended for people to ask me or others questions about the site and a place where people can look at past questions. Of course I'm not going to be mad if someone asks a question in help, but that is the general intended organization. The ideal would be for me to follow up with any answered post in Questions with a post in Help addressing the whole site in a more detailed post.
Back to the title of the post:
So pinging is a helpful feature for calling someone's attention in a thread. Just include an @ symbol before someone's username. For example if you want to ping me just write @x0x7. In fact it would be a good idea to give me a ping when making a post in Questions just to make double sure I see it.
If anyone has ideas of things that I should cover deeper in /s/help I'd love those ideas.
