It would make conversations easier to follow. If it's an open source plugin, I'd happily take a look at it.

And maybe change colors of our names, to make individuals easier to track. Also would love to help with.

In the "onmessage" of the web socket within "chat.js", just pass "message.userColor" with the existing object to "displayMessage(...)". Then pass it on down to "createUserSpan(...)". The real work would be allowing the user to set that value in settings and storing in the DB somewhere.
