I have realized that excel is the only solid reason companies use Microsoft. For everything else there are better and cheaper options if you just migrate away. I mean for things that every business uses. There is no applications that justifies 99.9% businesses using Windows besides Excel. I agree, Excel makes the Office suite! LibreOffice & OpenOffice are not terrible work-rounds, The shitty think is that they have to skirt around the conventions Microsoft has baked into their suite, so, being late to the game, Open/Libre office are not as polished as I'd like them to be. It's up now. The drive the data was on went read only. Weird. That had the server process restarting as it was attempting to write a database lock on start up.
