I looked very little into on my own, so pardon the off the top of the head question, but its 3am where im at and i've been coding most of the day. Who do i use to register a domain? I've heard that namecheap.com is ok, and that to avoid godaddy.com - what is your advice?

So different companies have different pricing. I guess that's not always the consideration but I was raised to be a penny pincher. The point is you can transfer domains. So you can always register a domain with namecheap and then transfer it to njalla or unstoppable.

Absolutely avoid godaddy.

To register with njal.la, they're the best for privacy. And when a registrar asks for your name and other personal information you don't have to fill in real data.

Also, you've got to wonder if "the world most notoriously private" anything might be a honeytrap.

Unless you know them, very well, you'll never know for sure.

Looks like a good recommendation.

I should have asked some time ago. Once something is established I often don't think to question. Often I do. I think I started on NameCheap in 2018 with 3 of my personal projects that I needed to squat on, cheaply.

I learned this week that (allegedly) PrivateEmail despite it's reasonably nice GUI, has a max limit of sending to 50 emails. That's shit for groups and newsletters to bigger numbers. I'm so annoyed that I 1) bought the NameCheap recommended SSL and 2) their recommended "Private"email has other limitations too. Never again.

At least Tutanota has the E2EE option, and I wonder if they have a max limit too - and/or can do several email addresses in one GUI. I suspect they might have their own app too. I still don't have non-web email clients for my PC and phone.
