OpenAI stole the data from the Internet.

Hey, we stole that data fair and square!

OpenAI complaining that someone else is training their models on its stuff without permission is high level comedy.

Comedic hypocrisy. Comcrisy, or hypmedic.

I was about to say this.

This AI bubble feels like it's going to pop anytime. It's going to be a disaster.

One leak and all that money you spent to make the model is made free to everyone. LOL.

Worse. It's actively leaking the distilled result by the nature of the product. And that's worth more than the model because you can cheaply turn that into an equivalent product that will forever cost less to run.

Of course OpenAI is welcome to distill their own models. All it's doing is applying another compressive pass on all human knowledge. If it's cheaper and just as good to compress it further then they should.
