I've gone to some live punk shows where they turn their amps up super high cuz it's cool to be loud. There's some truth to that, it is cool, but not worth damaging your ears.

One issue I think is some people can't hear any difference between these newer louder albums and past ones that had more fidelity, and that's because of that mentioned hearing damage. Like a blind taste test, can you tell from a blind listen test?
