Later Zelenskyy is quoted saying: "I offered Mykhailo a prominent position within the government that would enable him to unify the technological sector of our state and ensure its development"
So we have multiple people, with overlapping names, all being appointed and re-appointed to different positions. TBH, that article was impossible to follow, besides Fedorov out, people mad.
So the thing is this drama is already ongoing for a week or so, and this is sort of the end of it (that's why I decided to post), so probably hard to follow from just one story :) Fedorov (previous defense minister) is mentioned in title because it started with him losing his post, and in this story his role is relatively small.
An attempt to summarize the drama in a paragraph: Zelenskyy decided to reshuffle the government and in that reshuffle Fedorov (defense minister) lost his post. As he was popular people started to protest and it turned out he was in conflict with Syrskyi (army chief from this story title) for murky reasons (corruption of some Syrskyi's friends in army?) Protests were ongoing for a week, and as a result Zelenskyy decided to fire Syrskyi, appoint Drapatyi. Fedorov didn't accept a new position yet from what I had read.
